Video Curation

Native Video

If you were wondering if there was a way to make video content available to your colleagues that was not through the curation of a video listed on YouTube, we got you covered. Often times we have video assets that we would like our colleagues to share natively on LinkedIn and at DSMN8 there is a very easy way to make that content available to them.

In order to curate videos, simply head to the top right side of your screen and click on '+ Curate', followed by 'Video to share'.

Upload a video by clicking in the video area, or drag and drop a video to upload.

The video must be in MP4 format.
The video can’t be more than 200mb in size.
The video must be between 3 seconds and 30 minutes long.

These are the standard requirements for all LinkedIn videos.

If one of the above requirements is not met, it will not allow you to upload the video.

If the video files meets all the requirements, it will be successfully uploaded for you to curate and you will see this screen:

In order to continue the curation process, simply click on the “Next” button, and from there you can add the post captions, tagging Teams and Groups and then schedule the content.

Native video content from LinkedIn

Besides being able to manually curate the videos, remember that as long as any of them have been uploaded to LinkedIn, and provided you have set up this social network as a content source, DSMN8 will be able to pull it into the platform. Once a video has been scrapped from LinkedIn, simply head to your “Results” page in the content tab to find it.

You will then be able to continue the curation process by adding multiple captions and tagging the content to the relevant teams, before scheduling the post.

Note: Views data is not currently available as part of the LinkedIn API.
